Mr. Onstine
To Whom it may concern,
To Whom it may concern,
It is my pleasure to recommend Manuel Garcia for he is a dedicated and sophisticated young man. Manuel is determined in his studies. Furthering his education is a big part of his character. When faced with a challenge Manuel gives his best to solve the problem and overcome the challenge. I witnessed his work habits in my math course, Trigonometry, and I noticed Manuel enthusiasm as he walked in every day. Not only did he participate, but he also managed to get others around him to join in.
Manuel is in a cohort of students who are in the Neighborhood Academic Initiative. This is a rigorous college preparatory program for the first generation students with the University of Southern California. The students take their high school English and Math classes on the campus of USC. In addition, the students have school on Saturday, tutoring as well as summer school. Each year students put in well over two-hundred extra hours of school in addition to their already rigorous course load. With this group of students Manuel has worked extremely hard and achieved much.
As he pursues to go into engineering whether it electrical or mechanical, Manuel is in the Technology academy as well as in a robotics class. He knows that he must be well educated in the fields previously mentioned therefore he aims to learn the most he can in the two courses and by far has done so. He strives to get the most out of both the courses, however he enjoys robotics more as he believes it is a small insight into what the engineer life will be like.
Sincerely,
Roger Onstine
